Darla Fisher founded MERC in 2004 with a vision to create a business that would bridge the gap between neighbors and visitors. A longtime Tiburon resident, she wanted to capture both the charm of the waterfront community and the warmth of a small town where people know one another, linger a little longer, and feel genuinely welcome.
Main St Mercantile grew from Darla’s love of creating beautiful environments and curating products with intention. At its core, MERC is built on the belief that shopping should feel personal, welcoming, and rooted in community — less like a transaction and more like discovering something worth bringing home.
